1. Agreement to these terms

luodastudio is a website builder and hosting service operated by Anthology Group LLC (“luodastudio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the luodastudio editor, templates, hosting, native apps, and related features (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to create an account. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. We support two-factor authentication and recommend that you enable it. Tell us promptly at security@luodastudio.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. The Service

The Service lets you design, publish, and host websites. Depending on your plan, it includes the drag-and-drop editor, templates, custom CSS, a blog with visitor comments, a media library, in-house analytics, layout version history, draft-and-publish previews, and native editor apps for macOS and iOS.

Every site is published to a free yourname.luodastudio.com subdomain with a managed SSL certificate. On eligible plans you can connect a custom domain you already own, and we will provision and renew its certificate for you.

The features available to you depend on the plan you choose and may change over time as we improve the product. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may offer beta or early-access features that are provided “as is” and may be modified or withdrawn.

4. Free trial

New accounts include a 14-day free trial that does not require a credit card. During the trial you can build and preview a site with the features of your selected plan.

If you do not start a paid plan, your trial site locks at the end of the 14-day trial: it goes offline and editing is paused until you start a paid plan. A locked site, whether its trial or its paid plan ended, is deleted if no payment is received within 30 days after it locks. Export anything you want to keep before then.

5. Plans, billing, and renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance for the term you select. Monthly plans renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Annual and multi-year plans are paid once for the whole term and do not renew automatically; we remind you before the term ends. Plan features, storage quotas, and monthly newsletter email allowances are described on our pricing page. Optional add-ons, such as additional newsletter emails, are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel; a cancelled add-on stays active until the end of the month you have paid for.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the fees due, plus any applicable taxes. You are responsible for all taxes associated with your purchase except taxes based on our net income.

  • Price changes: we will give you advance notice before a renewal at a new price, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
  • Failed payments: if a charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend or lock your site until payment is resolved.
  • Prepaid plans: annual and multi-year terms are paid up front for the whole term and don't renew on their own. Cancelling one does not refund the unused part of the term.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your plan at any time in Billing in the editor. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the site reverts to a locked state.

Except where a refund is required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, including the unused part of an annual or multi-year prepaid term. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, unused features, or downgrades.

7. Your content

You own the content you create, upload, or publish through the Service: your text, images, media, blog posts, code, and design (“Your Content”). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to us.

To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, back up, transmit, display, and serve Your Content, and to make the technical modifications needed to deliver it (for example, resizing images or generating responsive image formats). This license exists only to run and improve the Service and ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to routine backup retention.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights needed to publish it and that it does not violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or the law.

8. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits illegal, harmful, deceptive, and abusive activity, and describes how we handle abuse reports and enforcement. Custom code and custom CSS are supported, but content that attacks visitors, other customers, or our infrastructure is not permitted. The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms.

9. Online store (where available)

The Service may offer optional online-store features that let you sell products from your site. Store features are off by default and are available only where we have enabled them for your account. If you use them, payments to you are handled through a connected payment account with our payment provider, and additional provider terms apply.

We charge a platform fee on payments you receive through the Service: 1.5% of each store order (including payments through a payment link), tip, paid booking, event ticket order, donation (one-time or recurring) and invoice payment, and 5% of each membership payment, gift membership, paid post or collection unlock, and course sale. The fee is deducted from the payment before it reaches your connected account, is in addition to our payment provider's own processing fees, and is returned in proportion when you refund a store order, a booking, an event ticket order, a donation, a course sale or an invoice payment through the Service.

If you sell event tickets or take free registrations through the Service, you are the organizer. You set the refund policy for your events and you owe any refunds due to your attendees. When you cancel an event through the Service, every paid order for it is refunded in full, and this cannot be switched off. The Service has no feature for reselling or transferring tickets, and your own terms govern whether attendees may resell them.

You are the seller and merchant of record for your sales. You are solely responsible for your products, pricing, descriptions, taxes, fulfillment, refunds, chargebacks, and compliance with consumer-protection, tax, and payment-network rules. luodastudio is not a party to the transactions between you and your customers.

10. Third-party plugins, themes, and services

The Service may let you install third-party or community plugins and themes and connect third-party services. These are provided by their authors, not by luodastudio. While we review submissions before they appear in our catalogs, we do not guarantee them and are not responsible for third-party content, code, or practices.

You install and use third-party plugins, themes, and services at your own discretion and subject to their authors’ terms. We may remove or disable a third-party extension at any time (for example, if it violates our policies or creates a security or reliability risk).

11. Our intellectual property

The Service itself (including our software, the renderer, our first-party templates and modules, our brand, and our documentation) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as the law expressly permits.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them to improve the Service, without any obligation to you.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by canceling your plan and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, fail to pay, create a security or legal risk, or where we are required to by law. Where practical, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem; for severe violations we may act immediately.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Except where prohibited by law or where content is removed for a policy violation, we will make a reasonable window available for you to export Your Content before it is deleted. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. If we discontinue a material feature you rely on, we will use reasonable efforts to give you advance notice.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements. We are not responsible for third-party content, plugins, themes, or services.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, luodastudio and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold luodastudio harmless from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your products or sales, or your violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at legal@luodastudio.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes or as the law requires. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Contact
